At the age of 13
Kayt was formally classified and raised as a Young Homeless Person in the State of Victoria, Australia on a ‘Supervision Order’ which status extended nationally.
At the age of 23
Having been raised by mentors and case managers of ‘the system’ she saw the conclusion of her 1st career was in the field of Community Services & Social Welfare, further to the arrival of her 1st and only child 12 years ago, she continued her career as a single mother in Micro and SME System Administration, Business Development & Management and Training
At the age of 33
She became a nationally qualified Vocational Trainer, and was introduced to the Speaking Industry and attended a speaking academy run by some of the Australia’s top leadership speakers, professional trainers & networking expert’s.

Having spent her entire teens and 20’s proving to society that she was not going to become yet another statistic in the country’s youth homeless system, Kayt informally studied human behaviour and community networking from the age of 13 as she fought to survive an environment of violence and poverty. This was the foundation to building an astounding ‘hands on’ resume in community services and business from the age of 16, to which she applied with passion and honour to gain the utmost respect in her community and the industry of speaking, training and business.
Having looked in the eyes of catastrophic adversity on more than a number of occasions in her fight to show that we become what we focus on, she is now the CEO of her own systems-focused Consulting and Speaking Business, Calkayt Services.
Connect with respect is her life’s mantra to which she wholeheartedly believes is the ultimate key to any interaction with any other person in all areas of life. Be it in the way we approach customer service as a consumer or supplier or in the way in which we interact with a street busker or corporate associate. At the end of the day if someone feels they are respected they will automatically mirror respect in return. It is human nature, says Kayt, as she reflects on many a situation that would potentially curl your hair or have you freeze with nerves at the thought.
Kayt is passionate about systems management and leadership, keen to pass on the knowledge and freedom she has experienced in her own life as she has recognised how incredibly important systems are and how systems influence our day to day living.
